Just a general thread about great products you've owned, used and would recommend. Can be any type of thing, but must be a specific product, not a generic type and a quick note about why you like it. Here's a few examples of mine, the first one is the one that triggered this off as I got some out today to oil some tin-snips:

WD40:

This stuff is just so damn useful - everyone should have some.

Casio F-91W:

I know these now have a reputation....but they're a legend for a reason. Well engineered enough to be dependable but still cheap enough to be disposable.

Braun Alarm Clock:

Fantastic industrial design. Simple, effective, cheap to buy, dependable.

Nokia 6310i

I still have one of these in a drawer. I get it out every couple of years to see if it still works....it always does.

So - what are your favourites?

I've used and would recommend the thread rate tool. It really allows for early warning about bad threads.

I remember the Nokia phone. This was when Nokia were leading the way. How things have changed.

Considering that pretty much 99% of phone failures these days are from cracked/smashed glass screens it's not really a surprise that an ancient phone with a soft layered LCD display lasts a lifetime

I have my 3310 upstairs which I used right up to point I got the iPhone 4. It's currently a load bearing phone but a great device nonetheless.
