Super Smash Bros, for Wii U and 3DS

I'll try some 1v1's, setup a room whenever and I'll jump in.

I'm still adjusting to the GC controller after getting used to the Pro and having Jump on LB, but I'm getting there!.

Yeah you gotta experiment a lot with stuff on the ledge or it can be a disaster. I think one of the games earlier I tried to be fancy and killed myself at 0%.

Also I'm so confused with all these items :o

Edit: I really regret that taunt.

She doesn't seem too bad. But I haven't played her much. I don't think it matters too much right now.

You should try to mix up your approach a bit more, you dash attacked a lot and its pretty easy to punish. Also try edge guarding a bit more. I got back on stage pretty easily most times. I think wii fit trainer dair might spike? Might be something to try in practice mode.

ggs though was fun but I'm done for now.

Will have to join you somewhen!

Just had a few mates over and tried it out! Only had 3 controllers though but was great fun though none of us knew any moves too well but had a great time!

Hah yeah it was fun. Good games! Got 2 tiny lags the whole night!.

I'll need to look up the spike thing(not sure what it is), and effective edge guarding. Yeah run attack is a bad habit because I need to work on grab and block/shield timing - not confident with it. Never really taken the game that seriously before but the high level game is clearly good.

Kinda joking about wii fit trainer, early days still and I'm not at a level where tier lists matter much.

Hands a bit sore - they not seen a GC controller in a while:D

Yeah fair enough, I just thought I'd give you some advice.

A spike is when an attack hits you downward off stage pretty fast. I think I did it to you twice as Lucina in one of the later games.

I left twice to change my jump button - I'm still not comfortable with the pro controller but I'm getting there. 3 players and hardly any lag!

Yeah was playing on pro controller until tonight and had to retrain my brain for the GC controller config. Can take a while to find the right layout, I'm still hitting Special attack instead of jump occassionaly when getting back to the stage

It's good advice, thanks!

Ah I see, trying it in training mode just now and Trainers dair does look like it spikes yeah, seems a bit slow so may need to be fairly preemptive with it.

Just incase some people in here didn't know this is something you should work on. It helps you stop people from comboing you easily.

A tech is an action that can be performed when the player's character hits the ground, a wall, or a ceiling while tumbling or in hitstun. To tech, the user must press the shield button 20 frames or fewer before hitting the surface; after that, a player won't be able to tech for 40 frames.

Still getting into this , played a bit of most of the modes. Online seems pretty good had a bit of lag but nothing horrendous really.

Peach is my favourite so far, her butt slam is awesome. I do need to get a better controller though as the gamepad is just to big for this.

Struggling a bit with the jumping back on the platform, watching other ppl play and see them jump back on from miles aways i just fall to my death, any tips :) i mostly play as pacman at the min.

Some characters just don't recover to the ledge well at all - the weaknesses are in-built for the purposes of balance. Try Kirby - he's awesome off the ledge.

Are you using your UP+B(special) move?. The typical method for getting back to the stage is to use jump then your Up B, but as merlin says, some characters are weak at stage recovery.

I haven't tried pac man yet so not sure how good his recovery is.

I still need to try out a lot of the characters, I stoppped on wii fit trainer when going through a few on Saturday, because I really like the mobility of the character.
I just discovered last night that you can mash B on her Up+B to go further and recover much better. :o
