Police and blocking driveways

We used to have all sorts of shenanigans with local residents in Haywards Heath with hospital parking. I had a permit, but some used the free parking on local roads to avoid it. One friend used to have his tyres let down on a daily basis which was resolved by an electronic tyre inflater, another had his windscreen spray painted black! Got to love a good parking dispute thread, can't wait to see the result of expanding foam in the snorkel!

Isn't that criminal damage?

Please keep an eye out and report back with a video of the owner trying to start it later.

I'll try, I'm kinda scared though in case the LR owner returns and sees me watching from behind the curtains then assumes it's all my doing and kills me lol.

it's unclear from the OP: does your neighbour actually use the driveway?

Yup, he has some old rover that's probably as old as me but looks brand new that he keeps garaged. Another neighbours let him use their drive today as they're between cars.

I bet if the guy had keyed the LR people would be up in arms about what a cowardly little **** he was, yet expanding foam down the snorkel which is probably going to cause a lot more damage is fine?

What damage will it cause? It will just flood the engine and stall it. Bit of a clean up, but can't see it causing any permanent damage.

Injest foam and damage valves, gum up the piston ring, damage the turbo, poison the exhaust system.

Id be inclined to warn the guy to be honest. Easy enough to unbolt the snorkel to get him home.

Think the guy over-reacted ever so slightly! Stooping to criminal damage is a bit extreme in a case of bad parking.

Would love to be a fly on the wall when the LR owner gets back though! Is it obvious there is expanding foam in his snorkel?

Absolutely. The only person committing the crime is the idiot damaging someones car...

Well the law is an ass, deliberately parking in front of someones driveway and causing them a lot of issues is asking for it, if it was me the car wouldn't be still standing there.
