Hey guys,

looking at getting some games for my nephews and was wondering if you had any recommendations?
I've picked up the lego games for them and they seem to enjoy them, also the older one likes minecraft too but not sure what else I could get them?

I remember having lots of fun with RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, and it's on sale at the moment on Steam! The only issue is that it only runs on XP and below, so you coulud try running it on a VM or an old PC?

They Most likely like Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

And maybe
Tomb Raider: Anniversary (This one might be more eay for young children !)
or Tomb Raider: 2013

Save the money from buying steam games and use it to buy them a Wii U ;)

The Wii U is great for them ages..

Super Mario 3D World
New Super Mario Bros U
Mario Kart 8
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Nintendo Land
Wii Party U
Rayman Legends

The Wii U is what I bought my 6 year old niece and she always playing with it..
Plus she loves using it to watch The Kids movies on Netflix on it ;)

You see, we got a Wii U last Christmas and now it hardly ever gets used. The kids much prefer Pocket Minecraft on the iPad. They did like the Lego games on the Wii, but they never got into any of the racing ones.

It was this that led me to decide to build a gaming-capable HTPC with Steam integrated into XBMC for the living room, since Rayman, Lego games and the like on that are £3 in the Steam sales instead of £15-20 for each Wii U disc. The older one is now getting into Terraria as well so I've promised to get a copy of that in the Steam Christmas sales for him too.

May have to try some of those other games, though, to see it it revives their interest. Will try getting them Donkey Kong Country and one of the Mario games.

But not sure anything will supplant their obsession with Minecraft. That game is crack for 5-10 year olds!

My nine year old is obsessed with Terraria.

But saying that Lego games, Minecraft like you said and someone else said Rayman.

My son has been addicted to MineCraft for about 4 years now. He is now 11 and the addiction is not dying off!

Five nights at freddy's
Dead space 1
Amnesia the dark descent
Alien isolation
FEAR

To name a few, only joking:p

Minecraft and Goat simulator is on my 8 year old daughters list. ;)

Noticed Terraria(check out Terraria's Steam Workshop btw), so if they are the creative type:

Spore+Spore Galactic Adventures+Creapy n Cute Pack+Dark Injection Mod(very simple Install)

Usually get them very cheap on offers, with the mod, various different levels from Sandbox to Strategy, it also comes with a (DI mod=highly)customisable monster creator, they can make their own creations, or aspire to become the next wave of graphic designers...

+1,

Mines 9, 2 years in and it's not going away.
