Shame you can't cheese the templar any more. Isn't there a bonus chest that only appears if you force him off the edge?
...how the **** do you actually kill the Templar then?
Shame on you all. Its funny how changes like this bring out the people who have never done the raid properly and only ever cheesed it. I can't believe that neither of you have never even once done it properly.
I didn't see it in the patch notes but have they increased the chances of legendary drops? I know it is RNG but I haven't had one drop for past 2 or 3 weeks but 3 dropped last night. Unfortunately 2 for a hunter and 1 for a titan when I have 2 warlocks but good for if I ever set up new characters.
They only increased the chance of getting a legendary engram as part of the cryptarch level upgrade reward packages, not as part of the main game.
Just a bit annoying how much Ascendant stuff Ive used prior to the patch - though its not like I have none stocked up atm.
Gonna buy a load of Exotic Shards as I suspect all the new Exotics will need them now
You say that like its a bad thing. Legendary and Raid weapons are unchanged, so its only the exotic weapons that you could have saved the shards / energy for.
But look at this another way, each exotic you maxed using easily obtainable shards / energy is an exotic you didn't need to level up using an exotic shard at 7 strange coins a time. I can now max out a couple of exotics, but need the shards to do so which is going to be a significant outlay in strange coins.
I honestly don't get the hate that people are having for bungie over these changes. People who farmed for hours and hours are now complaining that they feel hard done by. The community asked for this, it was a massive voice coming from the community that we didn't like having to do chest runs for hours. Bungie listenned and delivered, now you can earn them 2 ways - by the patrol mission bounty and by doing the daily heroic. In addition to new ones to earn them, you can just buy them with those vanguard marks everybody moans they have no use for ! plus they are very easy to earn if you do the nightfall, weekly heroic and then do some tiger strikes and public events.
So what if you spent some time doing an activity that you don't need to do anymore. You played the game and enjoyed it. If you didn't enjoy it, and now feel sore, you only have yourself to blame for playing the game in a way you didn't enjoy. You can't blame bungie for fixing that, especially since even yourself didn't enjoy chest runs and wanted it removed.
