Anyone been a victim of this?

Today I received a parcel from DPD, it was my Amazon order of a watch I'd bought.

It was delivered to a neighbour and I picked it up after work.

Open the box and see the metal watch box, open that, empty.

Looking at the outer cardboard box it looks like the bottom had been opened and re-sealed, there are 2 layers of tape, one of which had been cut.

I suppose it could have been the neighbour...but my spidey senses weren't going off when they handed it over...

Crazy to think people risk their livelihood over a £150 watch!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Possible it was an error at the factory saying that someone at dpd half inched my ps4 on release day took about 3 weeks sort out but dpd send parcels out via taxis when busy so maybe that's a possibility

Not really your problem anyway, just let Amazon know and they'll sort it out. Wouldn't bother letting the police or DPD know either, it's not your problem.

Yeah guess it could be anyone in the chain, I don't really care I just never saw the point of 'biting from the hand that feeds' so to speak...unless you work at KFC, then I can understand :D

On the blower to the 5-0, on the blower to Amazon and DPD. Blower through your neighbours letter box just incase.

Ive just reported it to Amazon and a new one is on its way, let them worry about it.

If someone steals a watch, should they do time or just get a slap on the wrist?

I got it :p

Had a laptop stolen once, after ordering it online it never turned up. Was a nightmare trying to get a replacement from the retailer as they didn't seem to believe it had been stolen. The parcel tracking system said the last update it was out for delivery, but it never arrived. My guess is someone from the courier company had sticky fingers!
