I went and bought the RGB version of this but in retrospect feel this would have been the better board for me, and a nice price now too. Ahh well.

I got suckered into a silver K70 yersterday in the sale at ~£78, bought it provisionally for the Mrs, but she may insist on keeping her old M$ ergonomic! Never knowingly owned or used a mechanical before, so one way or another I will get to see what the red switches are like. ;)

Still toying whether to get this as its on offer at £84. Read a couple of reviews and one of the things I have been thinking of in a replacment is back lighting. This will be my first mech keyboard if I buy one.

However I have read a lot of comments on various websites that the LED's die very quickly. Some have gone in 2 weeks. Just wondered how widespread OCUK buyers have encountered this problem ?

Have had my K70 for a year now, no LED problems and the keys still look the same (no wear or shining). Thing is built like a tank! Is a great mechanical keyboard!
