Advice on 15k V8 Saloon

Haha

Long story short, sold it not long after having it. Was nothing but trouble to be honest, even though approved, used Jaguar ran a mile.

Got it sorted in the end but 3 months of hell and even just before being sold, more issues came up. It became a constant worry and it had to go. Im now in a Seat Leon diesel that works every day, damn you Jaguar! (and a r32 skyline to be fair)

Overall, great car, nice drive, great engine, crap reliability

Yes yes seen the XFR and the XF SV8 and reading about both. If they are lemons I'll look for something else. Problem?

What were the issues

You saw an XFR so fancy the terrible 4.2 V8? Rather different to the XFR..

Not sure that's quite correct.

Its a good engine, while the power doesn't seem amazing at 300 odd, its a pretty good engine. We all know power isn't everything. Yes something like the 3.0tt from a 335i has the same power but probably more torque and mpgz, but I much preferred the v8 in the Jaguar.

Reviewers at the time rated the 4.2 highly

Its no XFR, but its not meant to be.

Anyways long story short, the main issue was water ingress. The seals on the back lights perish over time and simply water fills the boot. The boot holds much of the electrical systems such as the battery, the sub woofer etc so they were all damaged.

On top of this the remote key system failed many times, the tyre pressure system never worked right and the tracking on the car could never be resolved. In total I had maybe 4 serious issues and 10 niggles.

Its an epic that they did pay for all in the end but only after I got in touch with one of the directors.

Ok cheers for info, much appreciated

I walk to work so my 123d hasn't left the drive for nearly a month and I hate it

Don't want to be left without for too long. Failing that get a **** bucket from somewhere in the interim

Moved home 4 weeks ago so haven't exactly had time (thanks Osbourne for the £5k extra :( )
