When do you get paid this month?

Getting it done early (as I have to do with 4 payrolls) doesn't mean you can't date the bank transfer for the usual time at the end of the month...
 
Usually paid on 21st - gets pushed to the following Monday if it falls on a weekend.

This month our employer kindly waived this and brought it forward to the 19th - Mad Friday!
 
We get paid on the last working day of the month - which for December works out the 24th.

Seems like a sensible enough thing to me.

Seriously, people take their December pay cheque and THAT's when they buy presents?!? Seems crazy to me...

We will get paid the last working day of the month which happens to be NYE as it's a Wednesday and not a weekend. Same as every month throughout the year. You've got it easy in the private sector ;):D
 
I'll get paid on the 19th, which is about a week early. That & xmas make January a looooong month.

Thankfully I got all my present shopping, bar a few odds & ends, finished last Saturday. I've learned from past mistakes of leaving all until later in December.

Indeed - surely if your budget is so tight that you can't afford to buy presents before that, all you're doing is leaving yourself short for January?
 
Mine will be boxing day. Its every 4 weeks so I knew it would be that day long time ago so I just bought presents earlier. Still have some little bits left to do and will also get some for one family in need when I get answer on if they are still in need of more help or not.
 
Mines the 22nd, i've been prepared this year. Bought a load of crap for other people before i can by crap for myself. My shopping is pretty much done.
