Terminator franchise reboot

I actually think it looks quite good, however, I think casting Emilia Clarke as Sarah Conner is a pretty terrible decision. I do like her as an actress but she can't pull off Sarah Conner.

I think it looks ok. Better than the previous two. Will watch at cinema i think.

When time machines are in the picture they can realy change the story however they want. I don't know why people go on and on about t1 as i thought it was rubbish. t2 was brilliant. But t1 was boring and had bad music.

Different gravy. Kinda like Alien/Aliens.
For me, it's not a matter of better or worse.

It's a product of it's time, sure. The criticisms of it bother me in the same way that criticism of The Lost Boys get on my **** for example. You get the 'but look at the big hair/80's stuff' blah blah and it just misses the point and fails to see the magic.

Each to their own I guess.

But seriously I've just seen this trailer and was shocked at how bad it looked. The casting choice is awful. Whoever chose Emilia Clarke for that role is obviously someone that wants to wobble on her because it's not her acting skills let me tell you.

Oh and I still believe

Only reason for me to see this is Arnie. I don't care what other people say about him - he always commits himself to the role and works hard. He is in fantastic shape for a 67 yr old, and will no doubt give his all to the part, no matter how rubbish the rest of the film is.

One of the things we should also credit Arnie for, is apparently getting the script rewritten based on James Cameron's advice. This could have been 100x worse, and whilst it will never likely top the first two, I'm willing to give it a chance no matter how much I think Jai Courtney and Emelia Clarke have been miscast. Storywise this has the potential to be the best since the first two. Hopefully the CGI will improve, just like it did for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which also had really dodgy CGI in the first trailer.

I like many 80s films though, like alien 1 and 2. I think its just the music in t1 that puts me off and it is a bit slow compared to 2, more dialogue. the t1 terminator is still badass though.

Sometimes the T1 music, sometimes throws in a sound like the 80s video games. It's not quite the same but there is this sound through it that has similarities.

Santa Barbera. I don't know what it is about The Lost Boys but I love the American summer look to it. The somewhat dark gritty story. Though I was always disappointed in the end who Max was. Richie Rich's dad. :/

The Lost Boys had such a fantastic soundtrack.

It's a shame though that no vampire film yet is so nastily dark and chilling. They always end up at some point cheesy. Or for teenagers.
