What's your General Election voting history?

To those intending on voting UKIP:

Are you using it as a protest vote/single issue vote (i.e. immigration/EU), or do you think they're a genuine alternative for the longer term?

Protest vote against our current relationship with the EU. Definitely wouldn't want them or labour in power. That's why I am, grudgingly, still voting Tory.

2001 Tory
2005 Tory
2010 Tory

I became a parent in 2010 and that, together with gaining a broader understanding of the world, has seen me swing very much more to the Left.

It'll be LibDem next year, though they have no chance in my constituency (Tory/Labour swing seat)

Really? Vote left forever now turn extreme right:confused:

I don't believe Labour represent ordinary working people any more. That UKIP, who are mostly right-wing swivel eyed loons represent ordinary working people more than Labour is a damning inditement. LibDems - what can I say? I don't necessarily agree that they're left or right wing, a lot of the way I vote depends on the constituency I'm voting in as well.

To answer Phil's question; yes I think UKIP are still a protest/single issue party and not a long term prospect.

I really don't think Nigel Farage represents anything, he's a failed Tory, he's a massive protest in himself.

Never voted before because of my age but will probably vote 2015... A little stuck on who to vote for out of a couple (I do like most of Greens policy, but greens) but it wont be UKIP :p

A protest vote is spoiling or voting green, farage is a failed Tory who lives of his parents money, he is the establishment

When I was living in London it was quite handy because I was inclined to vote Labour in our district and my flatmate was leaning towards Conservative so we decided instead of cancelling each other out to just go to the pub instead.
