hey guys, havent upgraded for 5 years apart from gfx card so this is a big one for me!, do a lot of multitasking / gaming / video rendering. please let me know what you think and if i should change anything, my max for the pc spec with case is around 3k

looking also to watercool the whole lot, this is my first time watercooling so no idea on what i will need, getting the 900d so want 2 480 rads (1 top 1 bottom) and want to cool both gpus too, not sure of a budget as never done it! best cooling possible though and compression fittings look good :)

heres the pc with no cooling so far :

Oh my!.

For £3k I'd want a bigger SSD though, as running games off them will give you a nice little boost. The 500Gb EVO may suit.

Are the GPUs reference cards? You really need to look for defence cards for WCing.

The 5960X is mighty impressive but dropping that to a 5930k upud be able to get a WC build for £3k, otherwise you're looking nearer £3.5k, is that okay?

Have you seen the phantek enthoo primo?

ye looked at the primo, didnt catch my eye for as much space as the 900d. plus im coming from an 800d and do love corsair. i will put a few games on ssd, but have 2 2tb 6gb/s drives for the games :) , 3.5k be fine , as i said, no clue on watercooling. defo want to stick with the 8 core, think that will be a small amount future proof .

Unfortunately I can't spec you now, as I'm on my way to work but I have something epic in mind for you. I'm sure others will come have their say within the next 10-12 hours.

It is pretty surprising how much better games runn off SSDs though. I'm sure we can wrangle a bigger one in (uhhhh, yeah!)..

What monitor do you have?

It comes in around £3500 with Free shipping from the SFCASE code and the Gigabyte (£67.50) cashback offer.

You'll see i've gone for a white/black/red theme.

Used a tall LED Res for added wow factor.

Yes, the motherboard is a gigabyte, stunning board, great price, loads of cashback too. :)

The GPU's are reference cards, i checked using EK cooling config.

This will power through you're 'eyefinity' setup with ease.

What do you think? Any questions?

EDIT: itll kinda look like this, BUT MUCH BETTER!: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=61117

Both good companies, been around a long white but in the east rather than the west.

GeIL RMA is tiawan based but it is done through retail outlets (such as OCUK) so posted isn't an issue.

Heres a good reviewof the company and RAM: http://www.eteknix.com/geil-evo-potenza-16gb-2400mhz-memory-kit-review/

Inno3D has also been around a fair while, the products they produce are high quality, not sure about RMA though.

soz for latel reply work been mental this week, will look into those companies and see what rma is like, really wanted to keep the asus mobo tho, ;)

well its been a long time since an update, and me being out the country didnt help at all!

going to be ordering monday, decided im going to defo stick with the asus rampage v, always loved my asus boards, geil looks good, but how does it compare to the kingston 3000mhz c15? i know that has a lifetime warranty with ocuk.

quite excited tbh, not upgraded in a long time, did look at the 5930k.......tempting i must say, i was lookin at the 5960 for a more future prrof thing as i dont wanna be upgrading again for a long while. but they are putting out some nice ghz oc.

one last question, any news on the new titans? or is it worth just grabbing the 2 980s!

thanks again everyone for the help

AMD are suppose to be releasing the new 300 series this quarter of 2015, not heard anything about new Nvidia cards.
