Been searching the net (really google and ebay) to find a baby's first christmas bauble.
The only ones that i seem to find are tacky ones that are pink (neice) or have tacky kid's style drawings on them.

Anybody know of any places I can order online from that are tasteful and traditional? Ideally it needs to be personalised or having a room for name to put on.

tah

Pretty sure baby won't give a toss if he/she gets a bauble.

Don't forget to buy a silver spoon, stick its hand in some clay, save its first shoes, a box for its first tooth, and buy a newspaper for various stages like first poop.

And all the other pointless **** that parents do, and which gets lobbed anyway.

Very important you choose the right one. My first bauble is the sole reason for who I am today.

thankfully, my parents wernt into nonsense :)

What's with the ***** site?

I still put up my first bauble every year. It's a clouded glass dove and it's beautiful, and I'm very glad I have it. I am not religious either, if that's what some of these posts are implying.

Also, it's weren't, and I think it's a gesture, not nonsense, Radec. My parents managed to buy me a bauble and teach me to spell!

All the negativity!! Geeezzzz

The dude wants to buy a kid a present that he/she can keep and will hopefully have in years to come. Give him some advice. If you can't give him advice then go an up your post count somewhere else.

OP- try a garden centre with a big christmas section.

Harrods - thats where both of mine have their first bauble from.

Not sure what they cost mind.

doesn't get any better than a Swarovski Christmas Star Annual Edition for 2014, released each year by Swarovski, they are each different, and can be had for special years,

I have a 1998 (year I met the missus)
2000 (first daughter born)
2004 (second daughter born)
2006 (son born)
2014 (married this year)

they price from £40-£50, and hold there price, for resale
