Do GHD Straightners go on Sale

Basically looking to buy a set as a present but want to know if they ever drop in price in the Boxing day onward sales. I have heard a few people say that they never go on sale, as all promotions have to be authorised by GHD themselves.
 
When I was looking to buy some for a previous gf I looked for any discounts and was told the same thing, that they basically never go on sale. I couldn't find any cheap at the time so I think it must be true.

It was the subtly different "don't ask me I don't have any hair" which is the sort of punchy, yet harmless, one liner that occasionally makes GD a joy to read.

And on topic - the wife has some GHDs. Don't think you'll ever see them half price or owt. Would damage the brand image.
 
Not a chance they know they're basically the only kit women want and they know people will pay pretty much whatever price they fancy charging.
 
You will most likely find possible sales of older lines of stuff if they authorise it to be included in sales, the newer stuff doubtful

They used to be the best on the market, they are now tat and far from the best but people still pay top money for an item that has declined in quality. My friend supplies salons with equipment and when i was looking for replacements for my Mrs broken originals told he me to try to get the originals repaired if not he could supply half a dozen makes better than the current ghds.

Saved me silly money too :D
 
As far as my girlfriend tells me, they're rubbish anyway, just overpriced because of their name.

I'll check what she's using as I think she paid £70 for them & she's stuck with them instead of getting some others.
