Hey guys I have a tidy sized albeit totally ignored loft, its horrific, spiders bigger than apples dead things eveywhere and to make things worse last summer we had a huge wasps nest in there which had to be bug bombed so there are wasp carcasses everywhere to be seen.

Now I really want to utilise the space for some proper storage but spiders/wasps put the fear of god into me, even if they are dead :D

Any tips on where to start or what materials I should use to start my new hobby? I can see this taking a while, and I need to find some courage to climb the ladders... :D

Decent ladder
Decent lighting
Decent small vacuum.
Many bags
Gloves
Face/Mouth mask
Goggles

Go crazy.

Is it boarded? If not, be damn careful not to fall through the ceiling :p and then board it when it's clean.

Buy a snake, or frog etc that eats wasps and spiders. put in loft, close up and run away to cower behind your bed until the problem is solved. I can offer no advice on how to remove giant over fed reptile though.

Good idea I guess but I think removing a giant frog/snake would be even more difficult, and I'm already scared of enough stuff in the attic without adding those to the list :D

Well a frog will eat bugs. And a snake will eat frogs. All you need is an overly enthusiastic Australian to catch the snake. But he's dead.

I managed to get up into my loft not long ago after getting a proper sized ladder, put light on and what looked like a colourful butterfly was flapping about. No idea how it got in. Then I saw a scary looking black bin liner in the corner. After that I think I closed the hatch again. :o

No no, it's easy to remove a giant frog, you just cut it into bits and then bring it down in a bin bag.

Are you seriously asking us how to clear up a mess in your loft? Dustpan and brush perhaps?
