I shouldn't watch this but it is comedy gold.

The mid forties couple both on benefits that have only been together for four weeks, then getting pregnant is my favourite so far.

Don't know why they bother sticking them on tv.. The biggest cost in welfare goes towards working tax and pensions..

Put this on by accident earlier while channel hopping, utter garbage. Man pawns his mobility scooter, claims he needs to get shopping then talks of treating himself to some cans of alcohol and feeding his cats.

If people are that desperate, they really shouldn't be keeping animals. I know they bring some people comfort but it's not fair on them if you can't afford to feed them AND yourself.

obviously though if the tv programme wasn’t edited to be salacious then there would be no drooling rage over this.. so a pinch of salt is needed. Half these people probably have mental health issues.

This is hardly going to be unbiased news reporting, and they have definitely picked the most extreme cases to focus on, but it doesn't change the fact that most of the people in this show are just absolutely terrible people.

I missed the first half, but that really fat scouse woman was on about she just got offered a job paying £25+ per hour. Who is going to employ her to do anything for £2.50 an hour, let alone £25 an hour?

And great decision making in getting preggo by that other toothless layabout within 4 weeks of meeting him, at the age of 45 or whatever, and then splitting up days later. Jeez!

They are about the largest part of the welfare budget, followed by in-work benefits. But you would never believe it if you only read a) government propaganda, or b) the tabloids. And the bill for the old keeps rising, with no end to that rise in sight.

Indeed, they focus on the worst of the worst just to enrage the ignorant working class into supporting more draconian cuts.

It's like filming the life of Paris Hilton and then portraying that anyone who's wealthy all live like her so that they can gain public support to tax the rich more, not that that would ever happen with a government/media in bed with the rich.
