I'm spreading my wings and leaving the nest early next year and it will finally give me a real opportunity for me to build a true PC gaming room, for me and my girlfriend.

I've had a look around for some nice desks that would fit around a room but none of them stick out to me. If anyone knows of any nice desks then please go ahead and suggest!

Other than that, any craftsmen out there that can give me any tips on how to build a desk or what materials to use? Any tips at all would be great!

Have a look around places which sell second hand office furniture they're usually full of suitable desks at reasonable prices..

I have just settled on an Ikea Galant, I'm not big on having 3000 draws etc, much prefer clean and uncluttered.

You could go to B&Q with dimensions, ask them how much for a piece of decent wood for a desktop and then buy some table legs they have in store.

I built my own from 40mm oak planks tongued and glued together.
Now its all stained and varnished to match the Oak Furniture Land dining table its near too you wouldn't know it isn't from the same place.
Well chuffed with it.

That sounds exactly what I'm looking for to be honest. I like the clutter free benches.

Wanted it possibly with no legs, so its held onto the wall with all the clutter removed

As nice as that is, I'm not looking for something like a desk with a built in computer, more so just a desk for my monitors to sit on. I want it to go around the full half of the room so both me and my girlfriend have enough space :D
