Looks like we'll be taking the MR2 on a road trip in March. 2 days at Spa with Javelin.

I don't have a bucket list, but if I did, driving Spa would be near the top of it. Seriously looking forward to it already. Anyone else interested?

Our plans are to travel over Monday 16th, spend Tues and Weds on track then drive back on the Thursday

£220 per day or £399 for both plus the cost getting there and accommodation etc.

possibly depending on additional costs etc.

The North East MX5 owners facebook group are looking to do that weekend, and maybe on to the Nurburgring too, I'm not so bothered about Spa in the MX5 but i really want to do "The Ring" in any car before my 40th, 14 months left....

Funny one years ago when I was on an advanced riding course at the Nurburgring and one of the instructors there 'tut tutted' when the lads I was going back home with mentioned we were going via Spa to have a look see there.

'Very dangerous' he said.

Pot & kettle.....

Seeing Eau Rouge for the first time, the thought 'they don't go up there do they???' came to mind.

I'm expecting the whole trip to cost about 1k all in, planning on sharing the car with a mate to reduce costs as 2 full days on track will probably be too much anyway but IMO you need to do both days to make the trip worthwhile. Travel costs for us will be a little higher as we'll be towing so the crossing will be more expensive

Heading on to the 'ring Thurs and coming home Friday would be an option but the 'ring has never really appealed to me.

so its £399 plus any other costs, ferry or train, fuel, food, beer and place to sleep.

I could be game for that.

You staying over at the steakhouse just up the road?

Could be up for this, how many places left do you know?

Not sure where we'll be staying yet, Vix might be working so we'll probably tag along with wherever the Javelin guys end up. Should still be plenty of spaces, the listing has only been up a couple of weeks.

If I wasn't financially screwed I'd be up for this :(. I'm currently looking at doing one of the double days in October instead.

Can you keep us updated so I have an idea on total cost?

This is something I was considering just doing myself in honesty.

It is looking fairly unlikely at the moment as a bunch of house expenses presented themselves last month followed by rear brake caliper replacements on the S2000 this month and trying to go Snowboarding at some point after Christmas.

If I am able to join then I will, but its fairly unlikely at the moment :(

I was thinking of a trip to Spa next year with the missus as she has family in Belgium that we said we would go and visit. I'll have a look into costs for everything this weekend as track insurance might be the killer on this for me.

Loads of places at the moment, 17th slightly fuller than 18th although I do expect both to fill up after Christmas. So pleased we're going :D

A week from now i'll be in a hotel in Belgium raring to go. Did anyone else from here sign up in the end?

Anyone else on the list? Possibly the most famous we have so far is Tom Onslow Cole, looking forwards to this!

Make sure you take some time out to go see some of the sections of the old track!!
