US: Homeland - Season 4 (US Schedule)

Yeah very good episode was thrilling all the way, the only really thing that annoyed me

why on earth did Quinn not pick up the bad guys AK when he tried to rescue the vault!!

I'm going to guess it was because an AK isn't as precise as a pistol at the sort of range he knew he'd be shooting in especially considering what would be there.

By not picking up the AK that does not make sense imo. Soldiers can be extremely accurate with the rifle and it also got single shot mode too. Plus they needed the extra firepower because they were out gunned and outmanned.

It would have been really useful when they were pinned down. Considering the bad guys were standing and the hostages on the ground.

This cliche happens all the time were the good guys don't pick up the bad guys weapons.

This most recent season has almost turned in to a slightly more intelligent 24 - that's not a bad thing, the very best parts of 24 are absolutely awesome. I'm loving it.

The risk of booby-trapped ammunition in an unknown weapon probably plays a part in that decision.

I have only just caught up and this is probably an exaggeration having just watched them but imo the last few episodes is one of the best stretches of television I've ever seen! My eyes have been glued to the screen.

There are many reason why he wouldn't have picked up the AK. Lack of extra ammo, the chance that a heavy 7.62x39 round would go straight through the target and kill/injure anyone along it's path, a long barrelled weapon isn't really conducive to CQB whereas a pistol in the hands of a highly trained SAD/SOG operator is.

When the terrorist got killed he was trying to shoot the AK at Quinn and the soldier, so would he risk "booby trapping himself??" Or is was he going to count the rounds.

Oh come off it, did you not read that link?

Captured ammunition is booby trapped by US forces (or anyone else for that matter), and then re-released back into supplies used by terrorists. The terrorists themselves don't even know what ammo is what. At any point they could fire off a dodgy one and the rifle explodes in their face.

I think the risk was worth it! With an ak they both would have had a better chance of taking out the whole group outside the vault. You are also not telling me there wasn't secret weapons stash only known to the people there they could have used.

That absurd there nothing to substantiate that theory here.
