Will UKIP win its first seat in parliament tonight?

Well that was amazing and really didn't go the way i had expected, in fact almost the complete opposite!

Brand started out being the loud obnoxious self that i had fully expected to be then he got slammed down for talking over women, that was when he started to change, but then the knock out blow was then the man in the audience challenged him to stand. Coupled with a timely outburst from the blue-haired militant liberal seconds later with a threatening ‘I’m comin’ for you, Farage!’ So that Farage could turn to Brand "There you go, she'd vote for you, what a lovely woman"

Brand was destroyed, just sunk into his chair and the rest of the program he barely registered, Farage on the other hand was laid back and relaxed, played it cool and spoke only when asked to directly by Dimbleby. Yes he played it safe but like it not it was a good move, allowing Brand to give himself enough rope to hand himself with in front of the audience.

Blue-haired militant come along to challenge Farage but turned out to be a liability for Brand as i'm sure it did look good that the one on his side was a raving loony :D

Apparently the "Angry yelling lady" is Bunny la Roche of the Socialist workers party. Probably shipped in by the UAF to cause a fuss as that is all they are good for.

Brand is so busy protesting against everything establishment that he hasn't got a clue what he actually stands for, he's a first class muppet and every bit as much a hypocrite as the politicians he barks on about 24/7.

yep

I believe they came about due to the Tory's making it easier to hire and fire people. I could be wrong.

you are ;) they've been around forever, but have only recently been called 'zero hour' contracts.

Zero hour contracts have been a thing for quite a while haven't they? It certainly isn't something the current government instituted.

Correct, they have been around for a long time however they have increased in popularity in recent years due to the global financial crisis (not anyhting the government did).

They are a great idea when implemented correctly (as most are despite what the papers say) the issue is when a company tries to use somebody on a zero hour contract like somebody on retainer. Basically a zero hour contract means a person is contactable for work at all times but may or may not be available to work at all times, however a number of employers wrongly expect them to be available 24/7 despite not paying them accordingly for that type of contract.

Russell Brand is such a joke, why do all these middle class students get behind him? When this bloke starts laying into him and then a wild frost troll appears to talk some more rubbish, absolutely hilarious.

Oh and really all Brand was saying the whole time was
-Bankers are evil
-UKIP and Nige are evil
-Rich people are evil
-I'm rich but I'm just like you innit m8!

Nothing of substance at all, oh and after he gets wrecked by the man with the walking stick there, he goes totally quiet the rest of the episode and only gives a short canned answer on the NHS. Best episode of QT for quite a while.

Just finished watching it. Yep, he did go quiet after the chap with the stick asked him why he didn't run for parliament. Not sure if it was because of that, or because he really wasn't asked for his opinion much. I think he was only 'chaired' once after the incident, hence why maybe he didn't say much.

Also loved the Ladies ganging up on him at the start.

Yet to watch QT yet, will do later today, but loathe to.

I hate how much time they give to Farage and to Brand, and putting them together makes me cringe.

Funny to think Farage genuinely believes he'll do well at next year's general election; he came second in the 2009 European elections and how did he do in 2010? Not a single seat.

Brand on the other hand is an incoherent, rambling champagne socialist who is frankly embarrassing.
