Bought this today and only had a chance to play for an hour but liking what I have seen so far. In terms of FFXIII, this has customisable resolutions and unlike FFXIII which was hard locked at 720P, this allowed me to use 2560x1440. MSAA and Shadows are the other GFX options, so not too much to fiddle with but better than 13. Gameplay seems pretty much akin to FFXIII, which for me isn't a bad thing and I will be giving this some play time.


Video is processing but should be done soon. Any other FF fans?
 
I loved XIII-2, they took on board everything everyone complained about XIII. It's much more open, and there's no stupidly long tutorial.

I probably enjoyed it more than XIII.
 
Bought it from GMG for just over £7 yesterday with a discount code. Played about an hour on my 7950 at 1080P. Performance has been eratic. I get anywhere between 40 fps and 60 fps. I think its time for an upgrade. GTX 970 here I come.
 
An update for FFXIII came out on FFXIII-2 release, you can now officially play in 1080, GMG actually sent me the key for 13-2 few days before release unlike they did for 13

hmm still not finished 13. I got bored sometime around chapter 11..just when it was starting to get a bit more open.

I should go back to it.
 
I have only played it for a bit because AC Unity has my attention but I will be playing till completition when I put down Unity.

Or when you realise Unity is a buggy piece of crap and get fed up with the constant crashes or other glitches?! ;)

I had to reinstall it once but apart from that, the game has been awesome. Sure there are bugs but gameplay wise, I am really enjoying it.
 
I loved Final Fantasy XIII on the 360, but never did complete it, I just couldn't put it down!

What's new about this one? Is it worth it?
 
got this after finishing the original on xbox, but never got around to playing this one. any way to improve the frame rate, barely goes above 30 fps no matter what the settings and dips to the low 20s every now and then!
 
Anyway to get a refund on steam these days?

I simply cannot play the game with a 360 controller, nothing I do fixes it... It's certainly working fine in other games. But not FF XIII-2...

So annoying. ****** devs

Really? I am using a 360 controller with no issues bud. What is happening?
