US: Homeland - Season 4 (US Schedule)

I beg to differ.

I think it's plausible that a CIA black-ops agent would be trained not to pick up unknown foreign weapons, and to stick with his personal sidearm. The reliability and accuracy of which is known to him.

Oh but no sorry, it's not Hollywood enough to just stick to facts and tactics. Just bust out a mini-gun and waste the place yeah?

Great episode.

was worried this wouldn't work without the Brody element but it certainly does!

Really? So you don't think that a heavily fortified embassy would have weapons caches in various hidden locations throughout the place for such an event as this? I would have though that they would be tamper proof in case someone did come across them by accident. I would have also though that there would be an armoury in the vault room as well.

As reliable and accurate as his sidearm was it also restricted his ability to take on more than a couple of adversaries with automatic weapons even though he had the element of surprise the result of which was that the terrorist that had calculated everything that had happened that day got away.

I also have to take issue with the director of the CIA coming out of the secure room with the list of people who have been working with the US government and giving it up to save several people but risking the lives of hundreds more. I am sorry but I REALLY couldn't see that happening. As horrible as it would have been they could have just turned off the tv and waited to be rescued by the marines as that room should have been secure enough to take dramatic amount of punishment. I would have thought that this place would be able to secure a president should the same incident occur when he was there.

+1 - I Couldnt agree more with you, it just sloppy writing on the show part.

i wouldnt bother explaining further in his mind it is "Fact" so let him be happy with that. :D

I wanted to slap Carrie then, on her pert bottom obviously, and that's the first real time she has annoyed me.

Wonder what the hell is going on at the end?

Why was there a delay when CIA bloke tried to open the vault door? What if there was a fire inside? As for hurling the ambassador out the way, just lol.

The whole vault scene was um, cliche. How many times have we seen the insiders coerced into making them open the door (24 much) . I'm sure they'd be strict protocols in place prohibiting anyone from opening the door except in extenuating circumstances. Half a dozen hostages doesn't count.

This is a fictional TV show just in case you guys weren't aware :p

That's not the point. The point is that this show is supposed to be based in reality as best as it can be. Without attention to details such as this then the whole premise of the calculating and political manoeuvring is lost.

Come off it, your moaning about the plot being unrealistic, you've first got to take a look at Carrie, would someone so unstable ever get considered for a job like that? She's a nut case at the best of times. :p

Surely a better way for Quinn to do away with Akhani would have been to use the nurse girl to tamper with a new supply of his 'medicine' somehow? Sigh.

That ending though. Mind blown yet again.

I'd say no to that as it was his nephew getting him the drugs so I'm sure he'd be somewhat suspicious if someone else just gave him some.

I predict some future plot involving the new source of his stash. I'm always proved wrong though, this is Homeland, totally unpredictable. But if not I totally called it.
