Have the 19th of December until the 5th of January off work so hoping to get some decent miles in, definitely waiting until early afternoon though when it's 'warmed' up a little though before heading out!

Also off for the same time so if you fancy a ride out give me a shout.

I wussed out of riding this morning and did some house/car bits instead. Now I'm glad I did so many miles in November, I should still hit 10k (9,710 now)

last chance on a new/unused Small yellow L/S Gabba 2 for £112.50 before I ebay it?

everyone in our club has one already :(

msg me in trust

Same here! Bar a few deployments while on call on the 31st(urhg) and 2 Jan I'll be off! I live near crystal palace, seem the crystal palace crit races on YouTube... I wonder if its a good training ground? Any of you rode it?

Got out this afternoon for while. Boy it was cold but relatively ice free. Knocked out 38 miles in upper end of Zone 2 which was my objective. Turbo for the harder stuff, road for base miles. Well that's the plan anyway. Not far short of 4000 miles this year.

Skipped racing today, was only a very short race so I opted to do some training instead. Perfect weather, not too hot and dry, it's been hot and humid with storms for the past two weeks so made a nice change.

Felt bad for the first 30km but then started to feel good, lots of small hills for the first 50km, not much flat, then a flatter last 30km, put an extra few hills in there to make up the distance. Three cat 4s and a cat 3.

100km with 1100m, average of 220w and a weighted average of 250w, 30.6kmh average and I did it none stop with a banana and muesli bar. Deserved that coffee and cake at the end!

I think next year I'm going to aim to do 1 metric century a month, think it will help me in the longer races and build a better base.

I was invited to race in Victoria next year with the guys I did Tour of Bright with last week but its when I am on holiday, but I'll definitely be looking to do more races away from home.

Havent been able to get out at all this weekend (or last weekend for that matter) due to a dodgy wrist. The intention is to get on the turbo later for an FTP test but, I know what that invovles so trying to psyche myself up for it

I need to get a turbo, not managed to commute this week at all and next isn't looking too likely either. Might try and get out for a couple of hours this afternoon if the kids allow it!
