Donations to improve forum operations

I think most of us support the shop by Buying from it, recommending them to Friends/Family & by making this Forum the best around.
 
for the record, this is the only forum I use that doesn't have [video][/video] tags,

most I use, even forums that are perceived to 'look' old, will have this feature,

apart from that, I have no problem with it, sometimes it gets a little slow around midnight, but I assume its performing back ups or something,

and the odd database error, but most forums have this,

Ohh this is the only forum I use also that doesn't have the ability to PM, I have never gt used to the 'trust' system, seems a bit odd to me, so have only used it once I think.
 
Only time the forum is slow for me is in the Youtube video thread. But tbh that thread is just a useless pc+1 fest anyway. Same as the what are you listening to etc etc. They just slow the forum and allow certain members to just post tons of crap to increase their post count.

It's not just him. Plenty of people have been reporting slow downs for a while now.
I get it every now and then too. Sometimes, you can just press stop and then reload or just open in another tab while the original tab is still struggling.

This is why you see a lot of accidental double posts because you press to send again thinking that's it's not gone through, but it's already done it and just hasn't loaded at your end.

Click on Trust and you have an email address to contact somebody and if you're lucky they may still use that address and login once a month.
I reckon I've Trust'd over 100 people over the years and only got two replies.

Yeah, we had to use an email tied to our isp to sign up for some strange reason. I never check the email as its an ntlworld.co.uk one and I haven't used it for anything for years. Would be good if we could change the email tied to our forum account.

Anyway, nobody seemingly answered my query on patching the forums for security reasons nor my comment on increasing database performance. Still the forums perform ok and none of those issues are mine to deal with. If they're were, I'd have fixed them by now...
