Pretty much this but I find it easier to leave a Phalanx alive rather than the guy firing rockets!

Also, I can't say I've ever made 20k in half an hour using this method. It's more like 12k. Still not bad as, with a one hour grind, you'll max out on glimmer even if starting from zero.

Interesting, I found the problem with leaving a Phalanx is it can be difficult to die to one of them. Guess it is a case of find what works best for you. You can earn more than 12k though, I managed 14-15k over the weekend when I tried. I suspect that if you could get a perfect run everytime then you could get maybe 17-18k but I wouldn't more than that.

Overall a good weekend for me though, bought boots back when the DLC dropped and thought this weekend would began the long grind to 31 but got lucky with drops over the weekend so managed to hit 31 and on my way to 32 with chest and gaunlets from CE raid :) Also got enough drops for a Hunter that I can get level 31, so started a hunter off. Only level 3 for now but nice to know I only have to hit 20 and don't have to grind to get any armour.

Thanks mate!

Just got my self a rare scout rifle and wrecks everything! Try and do some patrol missions tomorrow when the mrs allows me :p ive only got a few bounties i can get but they are for 20 ultras etc.

Add me and when you see me online I can run through the bounties and missions with you getting you up to the all important lvl 20

It is pretty brutal as it starts you right off into the Darkness zone. There is also no rest bite until you exit into the Skywatch.

I died solo in the second area to a stealth vandal that followed me all the way back to the start!

Our fireteam did it last night (me level 31 and they both level 29). We took it really slow with one of us was hanging back to revive. On this NF you WILL die due to the Arc burn, expecially at the final boss (note: a level 31 will still be one hit by any of the melee enemies.). We also played strategies with the supers so I always had my self revive available. This came in very handy more than once...

At the final boss we hung around in the entrance corridor and again took our time. Splash damage is a bugger but this strategy allowed more hits before one or two people went down. None of us have an Arc primary which probably didn't help matters much.

We did it though and I got a new version of the Arc Culling.

This weekend was also my weekend for Legendary engrams. I got three (!) yesterday alone... :D

One turned into chest armour for my hunter thus she is just a grind away from level 31. This means I don't have to spend a commendation on her (now have two) and as such I can buy two new weapons after the reset.

One turned into some FWC solar shotgun (hoping for a sniper...) whilst the other turned into the Supremacy (I think that is what it is called) crucible scout rifle with firefly perk. Not gong to complain at that!

Overall a great weekend! :)

Sounds like I need to give up on the idea of soloing it.

The Ultra bounties are pretty easy if you know where to find them. Hive Ultras for example - head to the tunnels in the steppes and kill the three level 18 hive. They respawn hella quick so that bounty can be done in under 5 minutes. It is also a quickish way of getting some quick glimmer as they drop 25 each.

Yeah, not gonna happen. Couldn't really get any harder, arc burn plus loads of wizards, fallen etc. If it was void or even solar it would probably be solo-able with a bit of patience.

Yeah attempting that solo is more luck than anything. You basically HAVE to be a Sunsinger Warlock (self revive) to even attempt it as most things will near enough one hit you even at level 31. You can of course try it as any other character / class but the Nightfall modifier makes this extremely frustrating!

In the runs I did (as a fireteam & solo) I was one hit by:

- Stealth Vandal
- Reaver Captain (melee)
- Reaver Vandal sniper
- Normal vandal sniper
- 2 or more shanks (solar shielded)
- A ruddy melee Dreg FFS!
- Hive boomer direct hit (knight or accolyte)
- Melee knight
- Thrall (melee)
- Cursed Thrall
- Hallowed Wizard x3 (both shooting at the same spot)
- Omnigul combined with anything else in the boss room...
- Melee Knight entering a Blessing of light and attacking us (assume this is a glitch or bug as it acted like the bubble wasn't even there )

Arc burn & Lightswitch.... URGH!

Forgive me if I sound like a douche Owen, but it's not the first time I've seen you write it and it's making my OCD tick! :p

respite/
noun
a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant.

rest bite
a misnomer for physiologic rest position of the mandible

:p

Lol no problem :)

I have actually learnt something as I didn't know it was respite... :p

At least you havn't picked up on the fact I was calling Atheon "Aetheon" for ages... It was only until I got Atheon's Epilogue that I realised I was wrong... :o

When I saw the bounty I was expecting to just face him as the last wave. I didn't expect to have to have to face Urzok, a Fallen dropship, Hive dropship, Reaver Captains, Hallowed Wizards, Hallowed Knights, Vandals, Acolytes, Dregs and Thralls at the same time. Lol.

Yeah...I might just leave this for later when more people are on :D

Was lucky the first time I did this as there were quite a few ppls there and is was the defend the warstat event. Second time was a right pain as there was only 3 of us there and he spawned right in the middle of the war between the hive and fallen :p certainly made it interesting.

Has anyone else had legendary engrams drop, and they’ve all turned into the old max 300 weapons. Had four of these now and turning into a right pain as I'd like a new gun but going to have to wait until I rank up Van/cur again.

Nope both of mine have decoded into the new crucible ones...

Had 3 engrams, one went to 33 light chest, one to 300 attack LMG, one to 330 attack launcher. Just more RNG fun :)

How do people rate Pocket Infinity and Super Good Advice? Had these bounties clogging up my bounty slots for ages and almost got them finished, wondering if they're worth holding on to or not?

Super Good Advice is initially crap IMO when compared to Corrective Measures. The recoil is terrible and you get a pitiful number of rounds compared to CM 100/200. I haven't levelled it up yet though so my opinion would no doubt improve somewhat.

As for pocket infinity, I haven't touhed it since getting Murmur and anyway it would take up my valuable Exotic spot that I use for levelling up the mighty Thorn ;)

SGA is so easy to complete that you may as well keep at it even if you just break it for the exotic shard. It is a bullet hose that only really works at close range.

I have no idea about PI but one of our Fireteam doesn't use it anymore since getting Murmur.

PI is so not worth it for a 'work for it' bounty. Too slow to charge and the auto fire even in panic is poor thanks to the recoil, you're aiming the ceiling by the time it finishes all 5 rounds.

As mentioned above, Murmur owns it.

SGA is initially poor but it gets better. The missed bullet returned a lot quicker than most guns I've seen with that perk, probably because the rate of fire is much higher. Burst fire and it's actually quite accurate for headshots from close to mid range.

A very simple way of getting a 331dmg bullet hose if you come across that bounty.

Had a very lucky day today. Wanted to take my level 29 warlock alt through the weekly heroic before the reset. Went on lfg and joined 2 guys who already had the boss to about 20% health. The very first bullet i fired killed a single thrall and a legendary engram dropped. Took it to the good old cryptarch wondering what junk i would get............ The new upgraded suros regime!!!

I've been waiting what seems like months to buy it off xur!

Then in a couple of hours I've managed to get my main titan and my warlock alt both up to level 31!!!
