Reports indicate hostage taker and one hostage dead and three others injured.
Amazing isn't it. Lots of us here in the military and still wouldn't like to commentI blame airsoft personally.
Yeah, either that or he decided to start taking lives, so they went in.If i had to put money on it I would have said someone tried to tackle the guy... he opens fire killing the hostage and police go in.. maybe a couple get hit in crossfire... Police take him out.

Latest from 2UE Radio on BBC News now is it was Royal Australian Regiment 2nd Commando who went in
bizarre, are commandos trained in this sort of thing? Thinking of british commandos I cant imagine they are particularly effective at cqb, at least in comparison to the sas?
The commandos who stormed the building were from the Royal Australian Regiment, BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner reports.

Some sources are citing 4 RAR or 2 Commando as they are now known as being the assault team. TAG(E) - Tactical Assault Group East is mainly staffed by 2 Cdo guys. TAG(W) is the outfit which comprises mainly of SASR members. Since its Sydney, my money would be on 2 Cdo rather than SASR guys doing the breach and clear stuff. But then we'll probably never know, such is the shadowy world of these operators.![]()

Until the discovery channel documentary is released![]()
Which will have wilder speculation than this thread, even if they consulted with every person there.![]()
