Because you insist on any that any suggestion that it might just be a bad egg perpetrating this. You're saying that he's just being a 'good muslim'. Does that mean that all the muslims that don't go out and kill people or abuse women are bad muslims? What about all the catholics that don't follow all the hideously extreme aspects of the bible - are they 'bad catholics'?
The man was soap boxing and using Islam as his soap box - you're lapping it up.
Thats not what I have said at all - dismissing that he is sane and sweeping all these issues under the carpet is the root cause of all this.

Sorry typo - I meant to say that you said that he was just being a good muslim and dismissing that he might just be an asshat - or am I misunderstanding?
Im saying he could be sane and thinks he is being a 'good' muslim like those members of IS - not an actual good muslim.
He is clearly a **** but not necessarily a mentally ill ****.

Personally I think when he perpetrated the crimes that have ended up with him coming under charges for 40 cases of sexual assault and accessory to the murder of his wife, he nailed his colours to the mast. The flag in the window was an attempt to lend some credibility to being an all round bad batard.

replace 'all' with 'some' and add the condition 'fundamentalist' before 'muslims' and that statement would be about right

I do wonder if some of the injured/dead hostages have unfortunately been caught in the cross fire... two dead plus a women with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and a cop with a gunshot wound to the face... the guy only had a shotgun - some of these gunshot wounds might well be from police weapons unfortunately.

What, more comfortable thinking that EVERY single person in the world that I walk by every single day could potentially be a murdering psychopath capable of exactly the same thing regardless of religion, race or belief system?
You think that I'd be more comfortable if I can safely subsection society into groups that are more likely to perpetrate crimes like this, such as Muslims? You might be right - it is far more easy to form an us vs them approach to bigotry.
