Seriously excited about tomorrow, I know there will be server issues but I simply don't care. My ASP is ready and armed to the teeth, with one rule in mind - No sidewinder kills unless its NPC

I look forward to seeing what this free ship is too :D
I got pretty bummed when rare commodities went down the pan but ended up kitting out an eagle and finding my love for bounty hunting

Yep noticed that my insurance is 1/2 mill for a fully kitted out Cobra:eek: dread to think what my Asp insurance would be now glad I downgraded......

I'm still half expecting to be told to reinstall from scratch for V1.0 tbh :P

Found a nice system last night, 2 resource sites within 60Ls of a station, just a real shame it's got no black market and I got a 70K fine for carrying my loot around whilst fighting (never again!) :)

Sense of scale with eyefinity over 3 monitors is pretty damn good, not on a par with a Rift but not far off and of course I don't need to wear something on my face..

Ha! I used to wonder why there was such a big deal about being scanned, and why there was a "SCAN DETECTED" alert. Being caught with naughty stuff certainly taught me a lesson.

I don't think anyone answered my previous questions, would someone be so kind?

I just wondered if the game has entirely separate modes between solo and online?

Such as, say I start the game in solo, and a few days later I want to play online, do I have to start all over again? Or is it simply a feature to enable/disable as you go.

You did get an answer in the post immediately following yours, he just didn't quote you :p

They are the same game, the only difference is in solo you will never enter an instance containing another human player. You can swap between Solo and Open Play on the same save game.

As mentioned, the two are the same game, just in Solo you won't see or interact with other players. Progress from one carries over to the other and you can choose whichever whenever.

my 27mil ASP fit has gone up from 1mil to 1.8mil insurance, good thing it's a very capable fighter not too big to be sluggish and certainly no slouch. That fire power :D

Only an hour to go. Sol pilgrimage complete, just a quick pop over to empire space now to collect bounty and then my body is ready.

:edit: servers down in 10 mins for the release. Excite bike.

At the moment, I have a Type 6 parked at one end of a same system 400ls 800+/t bidirectional trade route whilst I zoom around in my kitted out cobra.

By way of an experiment I did a full scan of an unknown system including surface scans, I then did the same thing on another system but just fired off my a.d.s. and did not visit every undioscovered object.

The full scan sold for 5000, the partial scan sold for 2000. It's just not worth the time for a full scan is it ?

Investigating all the USS has netted me some nice bounties including 48k for an imperial clipper I managed to take down.

Had some interesting fights, one ship was dropping chaff and using missiles. Glad I got a point defence installed.

Mu advice, trade to get the ship you want, then just go off and explore.

Lets hope they don't screw up the release.

Been dabbling with the beta / gamma and like what I've seen of it. A few annoying mission bugs have frustrated me but once its fully released they will hopefully all be sorted. Looking forward to having a proper play tonight as the GF is out for an Xmas meal with workmates.

Also got a thrustmaster hotas x on order :)

Well it depends doesn't it? The systems will have been different for a start - you may have discovered more objects in one than the other and they will have had different contents for example asteroid belts. Do you have upgraded sensors or just a fancy discovery scanner? I believe having a detailed surface scanner makes quite a difference to cartographic data prices when actually visiting and scanning each object. With my stock Viper sensors I've had some full system scans only bring in 500cr, others 8000cr.

:edit: Made it to the nearest Empire system Liaden with seconds to spare - wasn't sure whether to try to get the bounty before release and risk being disconnected while docking... or just log outside the station and hope they don't accidentally wipe bounties in the release update!
