I'm in a bit over my head with this, gonna come back to it after Christmas. Not sure it's my kinda game, ho hum.

Just curious, is there any way to sell the game once bought and played?
 
Probably not, they may give you a refund? If you're coming back to it can you not leave it and just return?

Edit: How do I setup the DK2 for this please?

Woooop, got pulled out of super cruise by some mean looking ship. I got him down to 70% hull. Then 2 police guys what ever turned up. Helped me take him down and I got 30k credits!

Bounty hunting is fun lol. Anyway, anyway to remove the game version stamp? It's burning in a lovely mark on my plasma...
 
Yeah agnes that's a massive oversight by the developers, that should be gone in the next version.

Also, get a kill warrant scanner and you will then earn the bounty for that ship in all systems, as opposed to just the bounty from the system you're in! Must've been an Asp to be 30k in bounty?
 
OK, I'm in neeed of some serious help right now - because I'm in a game stopping position and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
How do I land on the assigned landing pad?
I get to the space station, request permission - all is well. I get inside the station and see where my landing pad is and I approach it and this is as far as I can get.
I come in slow, bring the ship down and all I do is bounce around - I don't actually land. For the third time now I've spent 8 minutes bouncing around the landing pad and then getting blown up.

Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to be doing?
Fly above it and then just thrust down?
Come in at an angle?
Because at the moment my whole experience is fly to destination to pick up some cargo, fail to land, get blown up, restart game - done this three times now.
 
Downloading at a steady 1.20 MB/s about 85% done. Not been this excited since trying to decipher what the letters were on the tv using the Lenslok protection system for Elite on my Spectrum 30 years ago! :)

Either your landing gear isn't down or you're coming at it from the opposite side. You should see a sort of control tower ahead of you whenever you land, and also on the docking assist view thing your ship needs to be facing away from the camera!

If you're doing both of these things right, then it's a bug and you'll probably need to leave, request docking permission again and try again. This used to happen quite a bit, but haven't had it happen in ages. I also used to come in from the wrong direction all the time and since making sure my ship is facing away from the docking camera I've not had any issues again.
 
How on good sweet earth do I locate exactly where my Eagle ship is? It says LHS 3447... I've tried 2 terminals in the system. Neither has it. Any ideas?

Also, how do I use the warrant scanner?

Edit, using the system map... I see which station has my ship via the ship icon. Also, I think the warrant thing. That simply allows me to collect at any station right? Not on the go?

You need to bind the key warrant scanner to a trigger using your fire groups (right hand panel). Then, target the ship, and hold down the trigger till the needles meet in the middle of the dial on the targetted ship reticule.

This is why people are screaming for a third trigger button :D
 
The kill warrant scanner allows you to collect any bounties that the enemy has collected in any system. You do still have to go to a location of each faction to collect.

Most of the factions are not too far from Lave so that is where I tend to go to collect any bountied owed to me.

Plus I can pop in to Lave and Leesti and pick up any rare commodities on offer.

One more question before dinner... I just picked up my Eagle. Sold my sidewinder. I had the scanner on the sidewinder. I assume in buying another for the Eagle as I can't see how I can store cargo or anything like that?
 
When you sold the sidewinder you were selling it inclusive of the modules fitted, so yeah you need to buy another scanner.
