Global Knife set at Aldi on Thursday.

Those knives individually without the block would normally cost £268.87. I'd say thats a pretty good deal for Global.

I have 2 global knives and love them.

I've already got three of those, not the breadknife. They'll do about about 90% of everything you'd need a knife for in the kitchen and are lovely to use as long as you haven't got big hands.

Well worth the money.

There are much better knives out there than Global for a similar price to the RRP; but these deal is quite reasonable.

Wusthof master race reporting in :D

Good deal though, just hope that people sharpen then and look after them.

Yeah I was thinking Wusthof or Henckels. I really love Henckels knives, especially the Miabi range, but they're slightly out of my price range.

I would like to add that all knives are very personnel.

I am a Chef of 25 years. I also have used and purchased some Globals in my time. But they are not for me. All down to how they feel and balance etc for you.

Personally I prefer Gustav's and Henckel's.

Like everything in Aldi, I wonder if these will appear at 50% OFF :p
I was tempted at the £200 but Im not sure about the handles, my favourite knmife at the minute is a santoku, Sainsburys "Best" range with a 10 year warranty.

I like the weight and the handle is a nice chunky one and comfortable to use.

I've had my Globals for a couple of years and despite a very easy life they're showing signs of wear - nicks and suchlike. I have a minosharp sharpener, which puts the edge back on, but I think it'll require a professional's touch to remove the nicks. I had hoped they'd be more resilient.
