Just a heads up that Schiit have released the Magni and Modi 2.

I've been waiting for stock to come available for the Magni and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had been replaced by v2 once stock became available.

Unfortunately the optical version of the Modi 2 is not available just yet.

I specifically wanted the optical version so went for the Modi v1 and Magni v2.

Sweet. Should arrive soon!

Definitely. I am being a little impatient getting the Modi 1 now instead of waiting for the Uber or Modi 2 optical to be available in the UK.

But the prices of these things make it so much more affordable to do incremental upgrades. The Modi 2 Uber may be an option in a few months time.

So my Schiit stack arrived yesterday. I ordered the optical Modi 1 but I received the USB Modi 2. I'm not too bothered about this.

I didn't have a chance to have a play with them. I'll have some time tonight though :)

I'd love a D 3020 in a Schit style case, just looks the business in Aloominum :D

That's a bit of a bonus, you'd think it was Christmas or something ;)
I'll be interested to see what you think, I possibly would've gone for the Modi 2 if it had come out earlier but I'm sure I'll survive with my Bifrost :D

WOW! I may have blown my ears up!!

Sits nicely in the corner of my desk. But it could do with being tucked away a little more. For that I'll need a different splitter or splitter cable. As you can see, the one I have take up a bit of precious room.

I thought the new Magni came with pre-out RCA sockets on the back but just checked and that only applies to the Uber model.

I might get a Magni 2/Modi 2 next year, I currently use a FiiO E7 DAC feeding a FiiO E09K which absolutely rocks my DT770's but I prefer the look and stacking of the two devices..
