That's what's putting me off it now.

It feels like your progress is being reset and you have to start again when the dlc comes out instead of being a continuation of where you got to before.

Anyone still need to do the nightfall and weekly? Not bothered yet on any of my characters but I guess I might aswell. Ill be on at 6pm...

Totally agree with this PoV. This might be a blessing in disguise as I can now slow down as I think it's turning into an addiction. Like Facebook and Heroin, I keep finding myself going back to it despite enjoying Dragon Age Inquisition!

Have you done these / got a group yet? I am on my way home so will be 15-20 mins and need to run them on my alt.

This is why I gave up on it a while ago. I enjoyed it but I was addicted to it simply due to the game mechanics. I read an article about it a while ago which explained how Bungie have pretty much made the perfect addictive game in Destiny.

The psychology of it all is quite interesting and the methods that the game uses to stretch out its very thin content into something that is horrendously addictive. The cost of the season pass / expansions was the final nail in the coffin for me. Great fun for a while but eventually you realise that you are mostly playing for the sake of playing. Do x to get y that doesn't change the experience but is something new. Play for days and get nothing then suddenly get 3 great drops and all is well and you are super happy.

Level 32 requires 144 light... Only possible with 4x36 light armour.

What a load of BS.

Bungie have ruined this game by making you upgrade exotics twice, making original raid pointless, which means new raid will be pointless soon enough with the next DLC.

Iron Banner is already useless unless next time they up it to level 36 gear even then it will be useless for most as they will have gotten it through raid.

They haven't thought this through at all. All my 30 light gear was made useless last week and this week all my level 33 light gear bar leg armour has been made useless as I got raid drops.

I will hammer Iron Banner with my alt (currently a 26) to get them to level 31 but I won't be making a third character or bother raiding with them until the next DLC.

This is so true, I've been playing destiny for months exclusively but was getting a little bored so I played the last of us last night. Went back on destiny later on to have a quick go on iron banner and what drops for me on the first round? Ice breaker, been waiting ages for it .... now fully addicted again ....

It's like the game knew ....

I feel used ... :(

Interesting you mention husk of the pit, doing some bounties with zoomee and wyrdo earlier one dropped for me. I wasn't going to rank up Eris as I couldn't be bothered but guess I havr a reason too now. Although having looked at the exotic stats I am not sure it is worth upgrading but will do it anyway.

The base game required 3 raid pieces plus a maxed exotic to get to level 30. The DLC requires 3 raid pieces plus a maxed exotic to get to level 32. Why did you not see this coming? The new Vanguard armour was always going to be a stopgap until people got raid armour.

They have to make the old raid gear less than the new raid gear, otherwise you give people no real incentive to run the new raid. If we could all upgrade our VoG gear to get us to level 32, and our VoG weapons became 331 I'd have no real reason to run the new raid.

The only thing I think they should've done is upgrade the old raid armour to +33 light, so a complete set would've got you to level 31. That would've rewarded people who put a lot of time into the VoG and made the old raid gear slightly less obsolete.

I've got my Husk of the Pit today as well. A word of warning for others - bounties don't level it up, only killing Hive does, and you'll need to kill about 450 of them. My advice would be to go the first mission in the moon, go wake the hive, and do that checkpoint over and over again. Took me a while but I fully maxed the weapon ready for when I get level 3 with Eris, which will either be tomorrow or Friday I think.

That's exactly what I was doing, still got about 200 kills left as got side tracked. Does get too grindy with "They've woken the Hive!"

Are you a Hunter and have you been doing bounty from Eris daily? I've done all bar day 1 and only just ticked over into level 2... so a long while to go yet.

Run the Nightfall now on all three characters and got one of the new Auto rifles that looks to replace Dr Nope (something SAS/SOS) & the new all black Warlock helmet which I already had from a Xur engram. Not a problem though as the new one has better stats and neither were upgraded at all. :D

As I get on well with Atheon's Epilogue I took to the AR quickly. Gunslingers trance helps a lot (and massively helped my 150 round Arc culling against Phoggy).

It won't replace my scout rifle but I will be sharding my Dr Nope at some point. It is a shame that the VG Quatermaster isn't selling a Shadow Price replacement....

:( - This game hates me.
