The future of The Only Way Is Essex is reportedly in turmoil after a number of stars quit the show.
James ‘Arg’ Argent was allegedly suspended recently, and Tom Pearce and Charlie Sims left to focus on their personal careers.
Now sources have revealed that the Bafta winning show is suffering.
An insider told Star: “The show is falling apart behind the scenes.
“Producers realise it’s losing its edge, and with so many key cast members absent, it’s really suffering.”
Fans of the the show shouldn’t panic just yet though, as, following the Christmas special last week, there is another series planned for 2015.
However the long-term future of the Essex-based reality show isn’t looking promising.
The source continued: “Although several new characters were introduced in the last series, producers know it takes time for viewers to get to know them.
“They fear fans will lose interest.”
We think bosses should just bring back Mark Wright, Kirk Norcross, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger and be done with it, don’t you?
