***Halo MCC***

Hi,

I'm interested in this game but taking off the rose tinted specs, how does it compare to modern day games? Do the games feel dated? Like not in a graphic sense but game feel/mechanic sense? So tempted to get it and blast campaigns on Co op.

All but Halo 4 might do if you are solely used to games like call of duty. However, the story is well established and the core mechanics strong enough to carry the older games.

HALO is great played Co-Op, it much more fun than solo. The early game level design is a bit dated (as it would be!), but the campaigns are solid enough, and a great laugh with 2 or more people.

For the price you are getting a lot of play time.

Anyone want to do some co-op on heroic difficulty? Post your gamertag.

Most of my console peasant friends are female and not too good at Halo! :p I need some one who is atleast reasonably good-ish like myself.

Don't get me wrong, I played them all throughout the years and back in the day it was difficult to choose between this and half life as my favourite fps. Might get it anyway as it could be a good couch Co op game with a few beers. I presume split screen Co op is still there?

Heroic is pointless, might as well just do legendary :p

Halo 4 looks next gen, it's a beautifully crafted game. The jump in detail between HALO3 and HALO4 is immense. Can't wait for 5.

Still miffed they didn't include Reach though, would love to play through that again, plus it had my fave MP of any HALO game.

343 Studios did say they are considering remaking or
re-releasing Reach + ODST.
I loved Reach, and yet to play ODST, so I look forward too it.
Perhaps been released between Halo 5 an 6?

And last night I completed Halo 4 on Heroic (Solo) for the first time ever..
It was one very good game, atmospheric, great sound track to set the mood, fun, and one heck of a rollercoaster with Chief + Cortanna..

I can't help but feel the Didact lived.
And hope, Cortana returns (Very wishful thinking.)
What are other players opinions on those two topics?

Bah, heroic?! Legendary really isn't that hard at all, I honestly don't understand this venerable status it has. I sailed through Halo 2 and 3 on legendary solo, it isn't hard you just have to take your time and not rush in. Also it's worth knowing plasma pistol is the best weapon in SP.

I read somewhere on Reddit that when an online match ends it takes you out of lobby by design. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

Apparently this is how Halo always works? So you have to search for a new game each time rather than playing with the same people? In which case mine seems to be working as intended. If you're in a party you will stay in party but lobby will be refreshed.

Yep, this is true
