***Halo MCC***

I'm starting to think this 'broken' matchmaking is just an excuse to cover up the fact the multiplayer on this game is dead and has been from the start. :(

You can get a game if you don't mind waiting 5 minutes or so and once you're in it's good. I can't see how it's broken, there's just not enough people playing.

Tried match making this afternoon and after 5 minutes of searching I gave up.

The single player campaigns seem to be working well now the save check point is working correctly.

Think its on second client patch since release, I've got faith 343 will get there just when....

The initial 'fix' of removing some game types just shouts that the multiplayer doesn't have enough players imo. Couple that with the fact I can get join a game but if I leave and come back 10 minutes later I often join the same lobby. People not playing because they know it's 'broken' could be contributing to this ofc.

The removed the game types to help with the overall matchmaking problems.

Theirs plenty playing on it for all modes types.

I've not even tried multiplayer after day 1.

TBH I haven't tried MP again either, and most of my friends on Xbox haven't either.
Too many other things to play while this is just broken.

I also find it too broken to bother. Finished halo 3 legendary tho the other day (very easy with more than 2 people!)

Anyone know how to fix the glitched achievements? Got me stuck on unlocking (Halo level ) and I've done the level three times and it still refuses to unlock.

hey guys so me and my friend decided to start co-op campaings yesterday with the first one we got to level threee and decided to break for a few hours .

then last night we goto resume it for an hour or 2 and he clicks resume but it takes us right back to the start :(

anyone know if its still a bug or is there another fix ?

we both are fully updated on both game and console

thanks

On COOP it starts you at the beginning of the level not the checkpoint, which I learnt the hard way as well.

we could handle that but this took us right back to the first level of the game where you do training

do you have to pick each level individually ? i prosume if you completed 3 levels then clicking resume would start you on the 4th ?

yes you select the level manually before you start each time, there is no mid level saving in co op, you always start mission again from beginning.

ah right i was under the impression that if you had completed 3 levels then clicking resume would start you at the start of the 4th level

so what your saying is he has to invite me coop goto the campaign then scroll over the 3 levels we have already completed and select the fourth one manually to play it ? and it wont save mid way

then after we do that 4th level if we carry on playing it will auto take us to level 5 but if we quit after level 4 then the next time we play we have to manually select level 5 ?

It will remember what missions you've done, just select then manually.

(I've also experienced resume not working)

Next update is live, not tried it yet will do tonight.

The next time you log into Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you will be prompted to download the latest content update. This particular content update focuses specifically on matchmaking. Please note that while this update will improve team balance issues, we do not expect it to fully resolve uneven teams. Our next content update, targeted for early next week, will address team balance.

While today’s update contains several high-priority improvements, we continue to work on additional content updates that will address further items. Below, you’ll find a summary of the updates that are included in today’s update.
◾Made a change to allow for matches to start once minimum player counts are met, allowing for faster matching times.
◾Made an update to resolve issues that caused false matches to be created, which resulted in a variety of matchmaking issues, including slow matchmaking and bad session starts.
◾Streamlined the process for maintaining party continuity through the matchmaking process.
◾Made an update to the high-level matchmaking flow that will reset lobbies after each match. Moving forward, players and party leaders need to press "B" after the post-game-carnage report, and select a playlist for their next match. This flow is consistent with previous Halo titles.
◾Improved user experience through removal of non-actionable error messages. This will allow for a more seamless matchmaking flow with less interruption and confusion.
◾Improved the post-game experience to fix an issue that could result in a player getting sent to another player’s lobby, rather than returning to the matchmaking screen.

We have additional updates on the way in an effort to further improve your experience with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. We thank you for your continued feedback, patience, and support.
