alternative pain management

So 1 in 5 cars you ride past smell of Weed ? You must live in a Scummers area. :p

i used to regularly ride though queens ferry :(

but yeah id say in most towns you can guarantee you'll pass good handful of cars stinking of weed on the average ride.

I've smelt it from the odd dodgey work van but I live in a nice area, a small town so we don't get as many druggys as the City. :p

it's usualy crappy little hatchbacks near the colleges.

Scummers & Ruffians every where, I shall have to put another member of staff on the gate.

What is important is whether or not if you could see yourself changing over to this instead of staying on with your current meds? I have chronic pain and take morphine for this and I for one am very happy to be able to have a choice of choosing something else. As for giving up driving, I would have thought that would have been obvious.

Bottom line then, who is planning on buying this when it is on sale Jan 2015 from :
http://kanavape.com/

I for one plan to as it is the smart choice for me.

i gave up the opiates and live with the pain while i was having physio it was ok but now the phsyio has stopped the pain has started getting unbareible especially in work there's time where im bent over under the wing and have to pick my chair up/off the pallet and its agony.

when a guy nearly 3 times your age asks you if you want help moving stuff you know your not hiding it well any more :/

gonna start yoga and pilaties after Christmas to see if that helps.

one question though does it show up on drugs test/is it medically approved for pain as otherwise i couldn't use it as work would fire me if i tested positive in a random urine test.

It's an unlicensed drug in the UK, but then again many drugs are unlicensed and still used to treat various problems here. I am not sure how far away it is before it will be prescribed by a GP, but it is in the works.

A question about the legality of this was put forward to the government and their response was that they were not sure at this time...

qoulsd need tpo know for certain before i use it plus would need to have no side efects concentration wise.

2 years per death means a minimum of about 150 years inside lol if i **** u pan crash something :p

I don't think you could ever legaly extrapolate due to different people having different metabolisms.

Everyone has a different partition ratio, yet breathalyser results are legally accepted.

As long as it is backed up by studies giving reference ranges there's no legal problem, the test results don't have to be exact. The difference in metabolism is not so great that we are going to see innocent people behind bars.

Back on topic, are CBD Oils legal in the UK?

Websites where you can buy then say they are 100% legal due to having under 0.1% THC, but don't want to order some and have them turn up with a police escort :p

Reason for my interest in this subject is my mum has Rheumatoid arthritis and the amount of meds she takes are having negative side effects.

If it will be of benefit to those with medical conditions, like marriage!! lol, Then i am all for it

It would be nice to have legal alternatives to opiates and morphine.

My friend who has suffered fibromyalgia all her life, as well as back pain due to a nice ex husband trying to break it, and is now on ora-morph as NOTHING else even touches the side pain wise.

The problem is she has no choice but to suffer for upto 2 weeks with no pain relief just so she can use the morphine again for a while... because you become tolerant to it with constant use. Plus of course it had some pretty dire health consequences elsewhere with constant use.

The thing is people with chronic pain are often forgotten by people who tend to say things like "ahhh you look fine" and dismiss them as moaners. Just remember how grumpy and horrible we become with something like a toothache... imagine being in nearly constant pain, quite often what most of us would mark down as severe. People like my friend literally have to just put up with it and get brushed off when they have little moans and groans.

I help her in the bath ( we used to be in a relationship ) as she cannot always get in and out... and quite often i will have to come in and calm her down her when she literally bursts into tears because she has to get out of the bath where, for a while, she gets a little relief from the pain.. amazing what radox and hot water can do.

Alternate pain relief is something that many many people would benefit from and would greatly improve their quality of life... so any progress is good.

Aww you sound like a great friend. I have the same thing but react badly to any prescription drugs I've had, most only work slightly and create far more issues than they solve.

I don't know how I feel about this form of pain relief, but I would give it a go if it became a legal option.

Well documented effects related to potential impairment for driving would be:

Asthenia
Ataxia
Disorientation
Dizziness/vertigo
Drowsiness
Dysphoria (an affect associated with reduced concentration)
Euphoria (an affect associated with reduced concentration)
Migraine
Nausea
Salivary inhibition
Sleep disturbance

Not what i was asking. Salivary inhibition, dry mouth? lol No what i meant was what effects does cannabis cause with zero THC in it. I would assume the THC component is the part that would possibly cause some of the above effects which cause impairment.

Lol

I gave you exactly what you asked for. It's not my fault if you assumed it was something else. And when for the record salivary inhibition is a pretty big thing and is a precursor for quite a few nasty infections.

So next time you assume something maybe don't put lol because you assumed wrong on two things. So really the lol is on you now isn't it.

(And for that matter how does dry mouth affect driving? :p)

See this is the difference between someone who is theoretically based and someone is clinically based. If you had seen the effect of salivary inhibition and it's potential for infection amongst other things maybe you wouldn't be so flippant. I bet you'd likely lol about dry eyes too. However, any decent clinician knows these are two things that will greatly exacerbate infection and also cause great discomfort and distraction. Hence the word potential ...
