Hi all

I have been offered a decent amount for my old pc and tbh i need to update it anyhow its 4 years old soon.

I have around £1500 but could stretch more as going through the business and can claim vat back etc

What is the best build for this at the moment? I do play games and i like max settings and I do have three monitors, I only need a base unit not keyboards and so on.

many thanks chaps. I am out of touch 100%

Only requirement is dust filters for the case.

Please help, i want to order today so i can get it for xmas to tinkle with :)

cheers
Ross

Each card comes with 4 games, so thats eight games, some duplicates to sell on.

currently i am running two 6970 amd things so its two dvi and one micro thingy, i do use them in crossfire if the game takes it and the machine.

thanks for the build

Thanks Stu, I take it the build above is generally decent enough stuff to do me another 3 or 4 years. Like not going to be totally out of date in a month cause a new something is here?

I am sure it will.

Also a free upgrade on the board - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18631511

AMD are suppose to be releasing a new 300 series in Q1 2015.

GTX970 SLI use these ports for surround,

The EVGA cards dont have quite the same number of connectors.

The AMD setup maybe similar, being able to pick between the two cards ports.

thanks, from the two sets of cards you listed what one should i go for do you think, for longevity and performance
