Nicely done getting Coolgate and Magicool on board. I sent them messages before to see if they were interested in getting the rads tested out but never heard back.

They're pretty small companies really. Let me see if I can find some contacts for you when we start talking more about fans.

Yeah I figured. I know Simon and one of his new testers over at Extremerigs is doing a massive ~24 rad test as well and so there's only so many samples that small companies can afford to give out. Thanks for that, much appreciated :D

Coolgate make very good rads. I have a CG360 and it's a beast. Similar size to my Thermochill PA120.3 but more flexible with four outlets plus a bleed screw. Well made and nicely finished too.

Would you say the build quality is on par with the TC? That's one of the things that have been putting me off updating my rads as nobody seems to be putting out the same quality, I.E I put an XSPC rad in a friends build and it seemed really fragile whereas my Thermochills feel like they could be used to beat intruders without damaging to themselves.

Also, does your PA not have a bleed screw? or did you mean the CG360 has one too.

This may seem off-the-wall but you know what I like about the Coolgate's that nobody else seems to have? They state how much volume of coolant they hold. That might seem irrelevant but when you're trying to work out how much pre-mixed coolant to but, it's at least a good starting point!

My PA (15mm fan spacing) does not have a bleed screw and just the pair of inlet/outlet ports. The CG has 2 pairs of inlet/outlet ports and a bleed screw at the opposite end. The CG is more or less equal to the PA in terms of build quality and it weighs a ton. I also got nowhere as much muck out of it when flushing for the first time compared to the PA. It's just about on a par performance wise with the PA and with sub 1200rpm fans actually betters it. Skinee labs did a review on it here.

Ahh, I didn't know that TC made any PA's without the bleed screw, they must have added it on the later ones with the different spacing. Thanks for the link, I may consider splashing out on some Coolgates next time I redo my loop :D

There's two sides to each story though, I haven't made up a network lead in years as you can buy them in 0.25m, 0.5m, 1m, 2m, etc lengths and being slightly too big doesn't bother me, granted its a bit different with plumbing, however as the tubing comes in 20/30/40cm variants it's actually quite easy to plan how it would factor into your loop simply using a piece of string.

It makes it easier for those of us who value function over aesthetics and makes it easier for newbies. Back when manufacturers first started putting O rings on PC water cooling fittings people said it was stupid and a waste of money as PTFE tape was just as good and noobs didn't WC anyway, today you can hardly buy fittings without O rings.
