Forgot to screw the casing of my pdw radbot rear light and ended up losing it while riding decided to buy a new one with a bit more oomph and holy crap it's bright!

Haven't tried it on the bike yet so will try it at home later with some scenarios. Soo bright! No buttons on it so mostly gestures to change settings.

Thought between this or the exposure blaze.

I've found the Giant guards good but I've not had any heavy rain with them yet... Road spray and standing water will be the real test for them!

I have found them quite noisy, over this Christmas break that's something I'm going to try and resolve as much as possible - first step will be putting some dampening on the metal parts through the forks to avoid any vibration. Next thought is adding some rubber washers to the 'fork supports' to give them a little more flex while keeping them firm. Any other thoughts? What did you try and what did you replace them with? ;)

I must admit I gave up without trying much. At about the same time I bought a second hand road bike for commuting and kept the Defy for good weather riding. Your ideas sound good though, I'd be interested to hear how you get on.

Do you just cycle around a velodrome? :p

:D:D

Just done another quick calculation, it's actually 12.64ft/mi if I ignore my 50 mile ride in Austria earlier in the year :D

Probably 80% of my miles this year are my work commute which is almost entirely flat (Cambridgeshire). I'd also bet a significant proportion of the elevation change is just estimation errors from my Garmin as well. I actually have to go quite significantly out of my way to even find a small hill around here!

13.72ft per mile. What do I win? :D (I also challenge anyone to beat that ;))

If we're going for lowest then pretty sure I win that as 90% or more of my rides are my 9 mile daily commute (<50 feet of climbing) or on the turbo.

Year-to-Date
Distance 1,601.2 mi
Time 115h 16m
Elev Gain 11,033 ft
Rides 350

less than 7 feet per mile (6.89)! No surprise hills slaughter me!

Only some of you londoners who don't do RP will be lower! ;)

Just a heads up theres a BT documentary about the 86 tour de france on just now. Slaying the Badger.

Year-to-Date
Distance 495.3 mi
Time 34h 31m
Elev Gain 19,321 ft
Rides 34

39ft/m so I'm aiming to beat all that next year but that lot is just from May onwards so missed a few months :)

just what??! -;

Genius number 1! now explain me, what is the actual point? I'm glad he bothered indicating! poof.

and this guy, now don't get me wrong I was approaching the crossing etc and totally should have slowed down to let the pedestrians finish crossing the road but what's up with him! this was like 9-10mph but still nearly had to jump the curb to avoid him.
