US: Homeland - Season 4 (US Schedule)

Wait,.....that was the finale? I thought they were setting it up for the final episode next week! Damn.

That was a definite change of pace, quite strange, it's almost,..brave.

I love the double dealing and that Saul understands that nothing is ever black and white but what annoys me is Carrie knows that but chooses to forget some of the things she's been involved in. Now is that poor writing or is that something the writers are taking into account? Hopefully the latter.

Not least her hypocritical double standards reaction towards her absentee mother in this very episode, excellent point.

Anyone notice the mistake with carries car when driving to her mums?

It was a Jeep Cherokee with round headlights but when she pulled in I'm sure it had changed to a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the later on switched back. :p

Don't even know where they go from here for the next season??? (without getting ridiculous?)

They could end it there and i think id be happy.

I think a 5th might tarnish its reputation.

I think that each year but end up enjoying the following seasons anyway.

Quite enjoyed this season overall but my god that was an awful finale. I kept thinking "something awesome will happen in the last 5 minutes to save this". Sadly it stayed awful.

Don't think it changed, looked like a 2007-11 Jeep Compass to me.

Yeah kind of wished they left it at the cliff hanger during the actual attack but in some ways it was nice to conclude it and end on that note.

Season 5 is confirmed for next year with a 12 episode run, feels like these seasons are getting shorter due to budgets perhaps but rather have that then it being canned!

I think the third and fourth did that lol. Second half of the fourth was intense though and I enjoyed it. Fifth will be interesting. Presumably Quinn's mission is going to go **** up, carries going to go mental because of Sauls decision and Saul is going to fight for directorship again. Not sure what else will happen though.

I found the fourths pace really good, it kept you on your toes, for example, when the ambassador storms in on Carrie interrogating her husband but actually she was already involved and on carries side. That was quick story progression!

ya I liked that also (the ambassador thing) fooled me too :)

There have been 12 episodes in every season of homeland so far. Showtimes budget for the show has remained largely unchanged.

Carrie needs to die in Season 5. Against all odds she keeps surviving all manner of potential deaths.

I'd also like to see the Russians and Chinese get involved relating to espionage. I'd also like to see European agencies chipping in for the CIA. I'm tired of the Middle East story.

I was mostly of the opinion they should have ended this show at the end of Season 3. This being said, after a slow (and what seemed like pointless) start to the 4th season I think it ended up being very good.

Last episode was one of the biggest snooze-fests I've watched in a long time in any series.

The whole 'twist' with the other CIA bloke in the car doing a deal with the Taliban bloke was ridiculous and made no sense. The terrorist was so pleased to have Saul captured so he could go out in daylight and not be bombed by a drone etc etc. made him an invaluable hostage with massive bargaining power with a massive negotiation taking place to free Saul..... then the other CIA guy is just chilling with the dude.....Twist for the sake of creating story out of thin air....
