Milk Destroyed my Mouse Pad

Stick it in a plastic bag and then put it in the freezer for 2 days. That'll kill of most of the bacteria, and if it still smells after that then it's time for the bin.

Apologies, I realise the "joke" you tried to use. I'm tired and just wanted clear cut responses.

That sounds like a good idea. Will try that tonight.

I always wondered why putting dodgy HDDs in the freezer worked, now I know. It's because they've become infected with a virus and the freezer kills the bacteria.

I wouldn't put it in the washing machine in case it falls to pieces and clogs the filter up. Myself, I'd soak it in almost hot water with biological washing powder in, agitating a lot at first and intermittently for about an hour.

Failing that, bicarbonate of soda might just do the job.

Vinegar is quite effective at dealing with mouldy milk residues on carpets and suchlike, but I don't know what effect it would have on your mousemat.

just stick it inside a pillow case and washing machines have a filter at the front anyway usually you will find coins in there
