Is a "game" (often well known GOTY for many people) worth the price of a 10 minute coffee/pint/sandwich etc?

Sorry but I can't help but shake my head at how often these questions come up. Personally the harder answer is what games aren't (ignoring any personal prejiduce).

With so many cheap games available nowadays, it's easy to lose perspective. Personally, I now ask if a game is worth my time rather than my money. Is either game A or game B worth me investing 20+ hours into? I'm not convinced that Dishonoured is, compared to other games at a similar price at the moment.
 
I want to buy Dirt 3, but all the comment say that since Games for Widnows Live became unsupported it has essentially broken the game.

Does anyone have experience of this? I'd like to play online a fair bit

It's not completely broken, but sufficiently so that I'd say it's worth avoiding. Real pity.

GFWL works just fine for this game, but not many people play now. IMO dirt 2 was the better game anyway.
 
When I try and install a GFWL games like the Dirts I get stuck in a never ending loop of can't sign in to live / can't save progress :(

Bought it through steam as CBA to input I card details :p


EDIT: just bought serious same pack as well...Been meaning to get this for a while.... Is it any good?
