You should have gone for the ones without the pad, then you can get more than one ride between washes an wear your summer padded bibs underneath. Much more economical.
Maybe but a bit late now... As they're DHB it's no huge expense... As the bib shorts I have are generally DHB too! In bibs I have 5 thermal longs, 2 normal longs and 2 shorts.
Need to get more bib shorts as my others are 3 pairs of padded non bib shorts. I've been waiting for some of the DHB non-active to be on sale as I fancy some better styled/colours than plain & black!

Any ideas for freeing a couple of stuck chainring bolts? I think my winter chainring isn't as thick as my normal one so a couple of the chainring bolts have bottomed out on themselves, locked up and just spin. I've got one of those t-slotted chainring bolt wrenches, but it's quite frankly useless; it just keeps jumping out.
Don't do like I did and remove them, or fully remove them from the chain as it's a ballache to refit! You should be ably to work them loose, even using some degreaser (like WD40) to clean the gunk out, just isolate the area and fully relube afterwards! Compressed air might shift the dirt, or I did read somewhere to use 'fishing wire' like tooth floss between the washers works.
Wow -5'C here on the commute this morning, can't remember the last time it was that cold :O
Glad I road the CX into work, none of the roads were treated :/ I'm refusing to put it in the bike shed, it's outside wrapped in tarpaulin. I'm thinking about buying a cheap van, and then leaving it at work as a make shift bike shed![]()
Far too cold and icy roads here to really get out, i'm not even 100% sure I'll go back to commuting if the temps are so low morning & evening (-3 & -4 for a number of hours will make even treated road surfaces slippy).
I have a thought about you work cycling 'problem', are there other businesses next to you who would be willing for you to use their facilities to secure your bike? Others will be more sympathetic to cyclists than your current employer, especially if they are cyclists themselves!
