Should this woman be jailed for a careless waste of NHS resources?

She knowingly goes to a dangerous part of the world where a virus is running riot, now we all have to foot the bill.

Should she be find to cover the costs of her treatment or face jail if she cannot pay?

Pretty sure she won't be hard to 'find'.

No personally I don't think she should be. She's done her part trying to help people it seems only fair she should receive help herself. I do think she should have taken part in a quarantine prior to boarding a flight. Only time will tell if she's put others at risk.

Lols, there would be a much greater problem if volunteers didn't go to 'dangerous parts of the world' to try and help.

Clearly :p.

Rofl! I was going to mention glass houses, stones etc but you beat me to it!

I don't think it is right though, she has cost us all mega £££ for being a stupid bint.

Stupid. Really?

She's a nurse that's taken a Hippocratic Oath and sworn to help people in need - why wouldn't she go?

You're the one being selfish, not her.

Considering that the Government has put a specific call out to staff in the PHE and various NHS bodies for volunteers to work in Sierra Leone confirms the OP is a trolling idiot

2 people from the lab I'm based in are there now and 3 more are about to depart get over it.

Why didn't she stay in Africa then?

Why get on a flight full of people and come home without so much as a few weeks isolation there end? How is that not selfish and stupid? Oh its all ok the dumb British tax payer will see me all right... ffs she should be jailed.

Lol wat?

Should be jailed for helping people?????

I dunno... its basic common sense to have a quarantine period for something like that before re-entering the country properly I'm not entirely sure the people who apparently let her back in (whoever was in charge of the organisational side that is) and/or herself if she is a trained professional shouldn't be done for criminal negligence.
