This kid is going to need some counselling when he grows up and finds out what he had done...talk about mental scars.
I'd have thought you'd leave a chamber empty as well on a revolver for extra safety. Isn't that what they used to do in the Wild West? they'd leave a chamber empty when carrying their revolvers so it wouldn't fire accidentally.
Could the kid not have shot to wound rather than kill?
Just a freak accident, nothing more to it. Poor kid will have to live the rest of his life knowing he killed his mother.
It's hardly a "freak accident" if a loaded gun was left in a handbag next to a child. The chances of something happening were comparatively high in the context of the scenario.
Brilliant. I wait for the next idiot American gun death. Maybe if they killed themselves they would not go around the world killing others.
Ok, it was an accident, happy?![]()
not always - there are certain important factors the prosecutor will take into consideration before requesting that - the most important one is: is he black?
Very tragic story. As gun laws in america are unlikely to change, you would think the government would try to bring in some kind of program to teach safe gun handling. Aside from the mass shootings carried out by loons, the vast majority of shooting incidents in america seem to stem from the mishandling of weapons. As someone who shoots as a hobby, the emphasis on safety and correct handling and storage of weapons is paramount.
Ive found the drinking before/during a shoot to be very prevalent among toffs at driven game shoots. Copious amounts of whiskey and gin before the shoot started, wine during the dinner break. Thank god i was never in front doing any beating. Probably would have needed body armour and a kevlar helmet. And nope, we didn't drink while we were shooting before anyone gets their knickers in a twist!
