My sister is currently on holiday in Australia and unfortunately her iPhone 6 died (would not turn on at all).

She has taken it into the local Apple store and they have replaced it however I'm concerned the phone might be a slightly different model being an Australian phone in regards to 4G Bands or other compatibility which could cause her issues later down the line.

Does anyone have any experience of this? It appears to be working ok with her UK sim so far.

Surly the Apple Genius would have known this?
I'm pretty certain though you will get a working phone.

I had to deal with a 'cough' Genius 'cough' in the Southampton store a while back for a friend, and he didn't know how to use a Mac! Didn't leave me feeling overly confident :(

UK uses the A1586 model, which Australia seems to use as well according to their LTE page (which was linked a couple of posts up). So it will work just fine in the UK with no problems.
