Hey, first off happy new year everybody!

I'm wanting to get in to Star Citizen, What Peripherals are the best to use other than Keyboard on mouse?

Like maybe a flight stick or something, haven't got a budget in mind but i'm open from the best of the best to a entry level stick.

Thanks a lot guys have a great 2015!

On the cheaper side I like the look of the Thrustmaster Hotas X. I really like the look of the Hotas Warthog, but it's about 12 times more expensive :) Think the release of Elite Dangerous has made the Hotas X a bit harder to get hold of.

Yeah i'm going to start off with Elite Dangerous and at some point this year i'll get the Oculus rift also.

I want the absolute best immersion.

Think i'll start off with the Hotas X and if i'm really enjoying it i'll make a stretch to the Saitek Pro Flight X55 or the Hotas Warthog as they look AMAZING!

Build your own ;)

Halls sensors are basically contactless potentiometers/variable resistors/dials/knobs and very simple things to wire up. 2 sensors, a neodymium magnet and a universal joint from the bay with a bit of soldering will have you a working stick (plugged into a £6 arduino pro micro). The throttle wouldn't be too much harder to work out...

Not for everyone of course but if you are someone who enjoys their "projects" :D

Hotas X is a good basic stick though. Went with one of those and been adding controls as needed (so far 1 extra thumbstick each on throttle and stick and a wee console that I can reach with my throttle fingertips with 2 more sticks and about 20 extra buttons, trying to avoid having to touch keyboard at all.
