One problem you'll find with railguns is the cost of ammunition, if you empty a pair of them it can end up costing like 30-40k to re-arm them all, which is obviously eating into the bounty payout,
Trial and error is the best way, the other day I was bounty hunting with a friend and he closed several anacondas with beam lasers and dumbfire missiles, and I closed a few with large pulse lasers only, depends on your style of play I guess, plenty of people kill them with lasers/multicannons too.
How do you find what system the weapons you want are? I'm sure there must be a way but I can't find it.
Issue still there. PM sent to your hotmail account. Any help would be fantastic. My guess is that the cargo is showing up as 96 Palladium + 96 Consumer Tech which is > the max cargo limit of the asp I am flying as that was another load that went 'missing' last night.
How did you get the type 6 with that much cargo? Running without shields?
Been running an unshielded Python for a little while, just scratching the paint and still have 100% hull costs 20,000 to repairEnded up putting a class 3 shield on it just to have a safety bubble. 2-3 jumps costs 60,000 so a fuel scoop helps too.
Yeah you definitely need a shield and fuel scoop for the python as running costs are prohibitive.
I want to get a size 6 shield, A rated power distribution and shield cell for dedicated combat. I love this ship.
It has been very painless for me since owning it but if I got give billions in credits, I would want them removed, as I enjoy working to get them and it would kill the game for me.

This is my current loadout for cargo and a bit of bounty hunting...
I've got to ask because I can't find this anywhere else: What is the blue and white plus icon in the top right of those modules for?
They really need to let you hyperdrive between suns in the same solar system. I've been making my way to Sol just for the hell of it, and realised just before I made the last jump in a leg that I only had fuel for one more jump. I ended up in 36 Ophiuchi, and the game dropped me beside Ophiuichi A. The nearest base was around Ophiuchi C, 0.11Ly or about 45 minutes of supercruise away. For some reason I lost connection to the servers three times (maybe thought I was idle?), so the whole thing took over an hour of twiddling my thumbs.
I'm guessing it'll be better if they ever get around to adding planet landings because there were always land cities around Ophiuchi A in Frontier: Elite 2, but even still I can't see why they can't allow you to either choose which star the hyperdrive drops you beside or let you do an in-system hyperdrive between suns in the same system.
(Or have I been an idiot and missed something...?)
Thread is now 231 pages long, great to see this game so popularIts an amazing game that will only get better as the devs add more content. Why no publisher would stump up the cash for it, I have no idea. Too busy churning out endless COD games I guess
