hey guys,
I've decided to turn in my laptop and spend some money on a tower to play GTA V when it comes out. I already have a mouse, keyboard, monitor, ssd and an OS.

I have roughly £500 to spend and I just want GTA V to run nicely. Any help is appreciated.

I would wait for the recommended specs for this game to be officially announced by Rockstar.

Board will take this eight core cpu - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-383-AM&groupid=701&catid=1967&subcat=1825

Wait for the game to come out, then there are bound to be reviews done on it showing how CPU and GFX choices affect performance.

yeah idd, if your just making it for GTA5 then i would find out which GPU/CPu it prefers.

GTA V PC system requirements:

MINIMUM:
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz or Phenom II X2 545
GPU: GeForce GT 530
RAM: 4GB
OS: Windows 7,8,8.1 64bit
HDD Space: 20GB
RECOMMENDED:
CPU Core i5-2500T 2.3GHz or Phenom II X4 975
GPU: GeForce GTX 480 or Radeon HD 6970
RAM: 6GB
OS: Windows 7,8,8.1 64bit
HDD Space: 20GB

Wow I was expecting recommended to be a lot higher than that but I hope that means it's optimised better this time.

Game hardware recommendations tend to be a joke. They want maximum buyers for their games so they set the hardware requirements bar really low (too low in many cases).

Minimum/recommended specs are often guessed, placeholder, or copy/pasted from other games. I wouldn't take too much notice of them.

Hey guys, I'm about to hit the trigger on a build because I'm not waiting around for GTA V again  Does this look okay?
