It's the most popular news website in the world by some distance and yet I've never met a single person in my life who reads it, quite the opposite... It seems to be universally despised.

Who actually reads it and more importantly why ? Everytime I've browsed it all I see is fear mongering and lots of hatred and bitterness in the comments section.

My mum gets the Daily Mail, although to be fair she only buys it once a week on Saturday 'cos it's got the telly guide in :)

Ah the token smart ass comment, somehow i don't think my occasional broswing out of intrigue accounts for the many millions of hits it gets everyday from around the world.

I imagine that this is precisely how they get so many visitors.

I read it. I find the comments section rather amusing.

Besides its always interesting to read stories from different viewpoints.

It would be amusing if it was just everyone reading it ironically but the comments sections suggest otherwise.

To be fair if they didn't have all the celeb crud along with numerous other not so news things and stuck to proper news I doubt they'd rank so highly.

The typos are pretty hilarious. These people get paid to write and can't get the simplest things correct :D.

Should be a dailyfail website dedicated to correcting the DM.

I think it's many people's guilty pleasure. I browse it occasionally as I find it entertaining, like a trashy magazine at the Doctors surgery.
